In 2019, Sanko textiles took on the challenge of transforming from a vertically integrated to a circular integrated company. The company began establishing close partnerships with agriculture to grow organic and regenerative cotton and invested in recycling technologies to reintegrate fibers back into the supply chain.
Since its founding in 1904, Sanko Textile has grown as the cornerstone of Sanko Holdings, one of the strongest corporations in Turkiye. SANKO Holdings employs over fourteen thousand persons and includes internationally renowned companies in textiles, energy production, construction, and construction machinery. “True success is being honest in Sanko’s every action, including those towards nature, people and all other creatures on our planet,” the company says.
Challenge
How to transform from a vertically to a circular integrated company. Getting access to a network in agriculture with organic non gene manipulated cotton seeds to building an infrastructure of technology driven textile recycling infrastructure.
